Khairul Muzamel Perera Abdullah

Khairul joined BIMB Investment’s Investment Committee in July 2015 as a Non-Independent Member and subsequently as Independent Member after he retired as Group Chief Credit Officer from Bank Islam on 13 October 2022. He joined Bank Islam in 2009 as an Assistant General Manager of Risk Management. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Corporate Debt at Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad.

Khairul is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, London and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals, Malaysia,

Mohd Radzuan Ahmad Tajuddin

Independent Member

Mohd Radzuan joined BIMB Investment’s Investment Committee on 27 November 2017. He was formerly the Head of Development, Islamic Capital Market with Securities Commission Malaysia. He has also held various senior positions with Securities Commission Malaysia in corporate finance, bond and sukuk markets, prospectus disclosures and Islamic capital market.

Mohd Radzuan holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Finance & Marketing, National University of Malaysia.

Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad

Independent Member

Dato’ Seri Dr. Zabidi was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of BIMB Investment on 8 October 2021. He is the former Senior Managing Director and Regional Head, Islamic Treasury, Treasury and Markets, Group Wholesale Banking, CIMB Group. He has vast experience over 38 years banking industry including 20 years’ experience in Group Treasury (conventional & Islamic), corporate (deposits, investment, client solutions), interbank, marketing, fixed income and derivatives, product development and structuring. He was responsible to develop Islamic Treasury franchise for CIMB Group regionally including United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Thailand. He was also the Chief Dealer at Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad for five (5) years in London.

Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad holds a

  • Doctorate in Business Administration from OYAGSB, UUM;
  • Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours, UiTM Shah Alam;
  • Chartered Accountant, a practicing Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA); and a
  • Certified Senior Financial Market Practitioner (CSMP) by ACI-Financial Market of Malaysia (FMAM) & The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB)
